Results!!!

This was another loooooong day!!!!! John Michael does not do very good on the sedation medication they give him. The rest of the scans will be done under general anesthesia. When they first give it to him he is fine but when he wakes up from it he is one fighsty little man for an hour straight (literally) before he starts acting himself again. He does great under general anesthesia. We are excited about this because it is not fair to him to have to go through that. The nurses are shocked about it every time and we even warn them before hand...hahaha. But to the results....The scan came back okay. Its shows no cancer at all where it was removed...YAY!!!!! As far as his lymph nodes go it shows that the ones up by his ear that they were concerned about are getting smaller. He said going back through all the scans from April to now.....there is one lymph node under his collar bone that has gotten bigger (doubled) in size. It went from .5cm to 1.0cm. His Oncologist said it is not a fast growing lymph node so when he has his next scan we will see how it is doing. If it has grown then he will do a biopsy to see if it cancerous or not and then do another full body PET scan. Please Pray that it has not grown. I have mixed emotions about all of this. I don't want him to go through another surgery at all but on the other hand it makes us wonder. It just stinks that the only way to test lymph nodes is to remove them :( On the bright side we are so BLESSED in his outcome through all of this. God has been so good to us...we couldn't thank him enough! :o)
