A little update: John Michael is doing good.  His next scan will be May 9th.  Please keep him in your prayers that they will find NOTHING and that the lymph node I updated about before this one has gotten smaller. Hope everyone is enjoying there spring!!!

Results!!!

This was another loooooong day!!!!! John Michael does not do very good on the sedation medication they give him. The rest of the scans will be done under general anesthesia. When they first give it to him he is fine but when he wakes up from it he is one fighsty little man for an hour straight (literally) before he starts acting himself again. He does great under general anesthesia. We are excited about this because it is not fair to him to have to go through that. The nurses are shocked about it every time and we even warn them before hand...hahaha. But to the results....The scan came back okay. Its shows no cancer at all where it was removed...YAY!!!!! As far as his lymph nodes go it shows that the ones up by his ear that they were concerned about are getting smaller. He said going back through all the scans from April to now.....there is one lymph node under his collar bone that has gotten bigger (doubled) in size. It went from .5cm to 1.0cm. His Oncologist said it is not a fast growing lymph node so when he has his next scan we will see how it is doing. If it has grown then he will do a biopsy to see if it cancerous or not and then do another full body PET scan. Please Pray that it has not grown. I have mixed emotions about all of this. I don't want him to go through another surgery at all but on the other hand it makes us wonder. It just stinks that the only way to test lymph nodes is to remove them :( On the bright side we are so BLESSED in his outcome through all of this. God has been so good to us...we couldn't thank him enough! :o)

Scan tomorrow....10:00am!

It's time again. We can't believe it's been 3 months already. Christmas, Birthdays, and now valentines day is almost over. I just again want to THANK everyone again for there amazing support and its appreciated EVERY day!Time has gone way to fast. Tomorrow morning, Wednesday Feb. 15th...John Michael goes for another scan! The scan starts at 10am as far as sedation goes. Please keep John Michael in your prayers that everything is A okay :O) We leave it in Gods hands....he is amazing! As always we will keep you updated. Hope everyone has had a WONDERFUL Valentines Day!

Scan Results!

Results came in good. Where John Michael got his surgery there still is some tissue build-up but the doctor said it looks like it was removed completely in that area. YAAAAAAY!!! He said the Lymph nodes were still enlarged which makes me really nervous. I wish they could just remove them so we have an answer but there are millions of lymph nodes in the body that it would just be to much of an extensive surgery with the nerves being so close. They will not do anything with those unless they grow. Please pray they NEVER do!!!!! We will continue to do scans every 4 months. The scans never seem to get easier to go to. I thought I would be used to them by now but the anxiety is crazy!!! Thank you all for your continued prayers and support. It really means everything to us!!!

I also want to thank everyone from the bottom of our heart for your donations. We hope everyone can make it to the Benefit December 10th. We would love to see everyone and would LOVE for you to meet our little monkey if you haven't met him yet (as well as his best friend - Miranda (sister). They mean the world to us and your support has been amazing!!!! There will be Live Music, auctions, raffles, food and drinks!!!!!
