Scan Results!

Results came in good. Where John Michael got his surgery there still is some tissue build-up but the doctor said it looks like it was removed completely in that area. YAAAAAAY!!! He said the Lymph nodes were still enlarged which makes me really nervous. I wish they could just remove them so we have an answer but there are millions of lymph nodes in the body that it would just be to much of an extensive surgery with the nerves being so close. They will not do anything with those unless they grow. Please pray they NEVER do!!!!! We will continue to do scans every 4 months. The scans never seem to get easier to go to. I thought I would be used to them by now but the anxiety is crazy!!! Thank you all for your continued prayers and support. It really means everything to us!!!

I also want to thank everyone from the bottom of our heart for your donations. We hope everyone can make it to the Benefit December 10th. We would love to see everyone and would LOVE for you to meet our little monkey if you haven't met him yet (as well as his best friend - Miranda (sister). They mean the world to us and your support has been amazing!!!! There will be Live Music, auctions, raffles, food and drinks!!!!!

Big day tomorrow! Scan Day!

Tomorrow John Michael will be having his first full body Pet CT scan since surgery. He has been doing AMAZING! I will keep everyone updated on the status and results once we get them! Please continue to pray for our little man......He is such a trooper!!!! Thank you all again for the continuous prayers and support! It means everything to us!

This day our world turned......Our son, John Michael Bledsoe III, was diagnosed with Cutaneous T-Cell Lymphoma Cancer. It all started around December 2010 when I saw a tiny red bump next to his left eye. We went to his normal 18 month check-up and it was diagnosed as just eczema that is very common in infants. So on I went with my healthy little 18 month old (so we thought). About 4 months later the little red bump didn't go away....it started to turn into a raised bump that was getting bigger. Went to the doctor again and immediately was referred to the dermatologist. Thinking it was just a bigger skin rash that would just take medicine to treat...He suggested a biopsy that day. I was in shock at that point. Hoping it was just a bad rash that was unusual. Well 2.5 weeks later (may I add....the longest 2.5 weeks of my life) we got the result back. I am still in complete shock as I am posting this before any kind of knowledge yet of the extent of all of this. Our next step is to get testing done which includes a cat scan, bone marrow biopsy, and lab work. I am trying to prepare myself for this as it will hopefully be a short fight with cancer to 100% recovery. The prayers and support have been overwhelmingly appreciated. I will continue to post on this blog to update everyone as we continue this fight to recovery!!!! My little monkey is a fighter...if you've had the chance to meet him yet you would definitely have to agree!!! Babies born on 4th of July aren't called firecrackers for nothing...HAHAHAHA!!!! Please continue praying for his recovery. Just a little update on Miranda (big sister).....She is doing well...but still being so young she still isn't sure what is going on. We will try our very best to keep us all in our daily routine. She is currently in ballet/tap and loves every minute of it!!! She is so excited for her recital in June!! She also starts preschool in August....WOW....time flies!!! Another big step for mommy and daddy but I know she will have the best time and meet a lot of new friends. Thanks again for ALL of the support!!!
